Getting to Know Albert

What is Albert?

Albert is a paid program we use to help students test their knowledge in AP courses as well as practice for the ACT. Additionally, Albert can help students practice basic skills in reading and math.  All AP teachers, math teachers, and ELA teachers at LHS have access to Albert this year.

The power of this program is hundreds of quality questions across disciplines. Writing great multiple choice questions can be challenging and Albert allows us to use ACT-style or AP-style questions to help prepare our students with rigorous content. Albert provides insights into student learning at an individual level to help us change instruction quickly.

Who can use it?
We have purchased Albert licenses, but do not have enough for all students and staff. There is a checklist below for course access. If you have any questions as to if you have access for your students, please contact Sara Wickham.

This Year:
Albert is an expensive resource. We are working to offer training and support and then will seek teacher input on decision factors for continuing in 2018-2019. Our decision will be made based upon Albert IO:
  • Quality
  • Efficiency
  • Usage
  • Student Learning
